Hard To Argue With
Mar 29th
Christopher Hitchens makes some very good points. Really hard to argue that out of the last 100,000 years of human history (or 250,000, depending on whom you believe) God only decided to intervene in the last 3,000 or so years, and then only with the illiterate, barbaric, backwards folk (s)he did. Odd, really.
Watch for yourself.
I can’t figure it out either.

Ok seriously. I’m gobsmacked by this. It is an attempt to, in effect, outlaw a religion.
Worried about the ever-encroaching menace of Muslims practicing their religion? You may want to move to Tennessee, where State Sen. Bill Ketron (pictured) and state Rep. Judd Matheny are introducing a bill that would “make following the Islamic code known as Shariah law a felony, punishable by 15 years in jail.” Nashville-based Imam Mohamed Ahmed wonders:

What is it with these fundamentalist ‘christian’ folks these days? A theocracy is bad. ANY theocracy. Yours, theirs, anyone’s.
So stop it already. If you want to be a fundamentalist christian, be my guest. But don’t try to make anyone else follow your silly little rules (which, as you may have read recently, you appear to make up as you go along).
What if we tried to outlaw following the 10 Commandments? Not such a good idea you say? Then stop telling other people what religious ideas and laws they can or cannot adhere to or someone might just start doing the same to you.
