I’ve blogged elsewhere for years and years and years — since before it was even called ‘blogging’ really — but this is a fresh start for me. None of the baggage or whatnot from the previous sites.

So what can you expect to see here? Well, here’s a short, but certainly not complete, list:

• Healthcare reform.
  I have a severely disabled son, and health insurance reform is extremely important to me. I am speaking for my son, who cannot speak for himself.
• Humor
  I’m not the funniest guy you’ll meet, but I know some pretty funny people, and I get sent some pretty funny stuff from time to time. So I post that when the mood strikes me.
• Music
  I listen to Last.fm pretty much non-stop all day, every day. So when something strikes my fancy, musically speaking, I may post it here — usually in the form of a music video, but not always.
• Personal
  Some posts will be of a purely personal nature. Stuff that just interests me for random reasons. The reasons may or may not be obvious to you — or even to me.
• Politics
  I used to post quite often, and quite vociferously, about all manner of political subjects. I’ll still do some of that, but not nearly as often, and not nearly as … rabidly. It was a negotiated settlement. Let’s leave it at that.
• Technology
  I’m a geek. A nerd. A software developer and computer researcher. So techy things interest me. From the mundane to the highly technical, there’s at least a chance I’ll post it here.

So that’s the short list. Of course, since it’s my blog, I can write about whatever I feel like writing about at the time.
